DOI: 10.1177/026327640201900106 ChaosmopolisHarvard University In a world dominated by speed, global cities have become all powerful. They often seem to impose one world culture and eradicate citizens rights. In this article I will argue that, without going back to older ways of being, we can adapt the concept of cosmopolis to propose a world (as) city with multiple tiny centers that would diverge from the hegemonic global city. In a world as cosmopolis, singularities and aesthetics, multiplicities and ethics would prevail.
